The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority E-ZPass and Administration offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 25, 2021, and will reopen for regular business hours on Friday, November 26th.

The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority has implemented vehicle access restrictions on the Newport Pell and Jamestown Verrazzano bridges. Only automobiles, pickup trucks, flatbed trailers, and commercial buses are permitted to cross the bridges.  All other vehicles are prohibited from travel across the bridges.

The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority is lifting restrictions on the Newport Pell and Jamestown Verrazzano Bridges for all but high profile vehicles. Automobiles, pickup trucks, flatbed trailers and commercial buses may cross these bridges. Note: school buses are not permitted at this time.
